Richard Clapp was a U.S. Army paratrooper from 1993 to 1997. After a medical retirement, he returned home to North Carolina where he built a successful career as an entrepreneur. Richard has owned and operated a computer repair business for over 25 years, earning trust through technical expertise, reliability, and strong client relationships.

For more than 10 years now, he has also been a partner and current CFO in a bail bonds business, expanding his leadership and operational experience across industries.

Richard is an avid outdoorsman and volunteer who enjoys hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and parachuting. He is deeply committed to giving back, he believes service extends far beyond the uniform and into every aspect of life and business. Richard is an active member of his local American Legion, Past Master Liberty Masonic Lodge,  Treasurer of Liberty Chamber of Commerce, and sits on SE-Guilford Fire Department Board of Directors.

His passion for adventure and volunteering led him to get involved with The FEW in 2017. Over the years he has participated in and supported The FEW’s events. Richard’s passion for parachuting will bolster the foundation’s Airborne activities. He was extremely helpful in assisting The FEW in honor the 75th anniversary of D-Day by parachuting into Normandy from C-17s in 2019.
